IMS Summer Reading Challenge
Library Policy:
To encourage responsibility and time management, and to promote student accountability, during the 2012-2013 school year, students will continue to receive a five day or $ .25 grace period on overdue materials. After that period, the overdue fine of $.05 per day will continue to build. When the fine reaches $.50, at 10 days overdue, the students will not be allowed to check out library materials. The fine will continue to accrue until the item is returned or a replacement fee is paid. Students have access to classroom, home, and public libraries to meet their AR needs. If specific materials are needed for a classroom project, special arrangements can be made to ensure students are able to meet their educational goals. The mission of the Ingersoll Middle School Library is to fulfill the information needs of our students and staff by providing resources to support the curriculum and offer enrichment, by assisting students in becoming effective and discriminating users of information, and by promoting the concept of lifelong learning.
