Seventh Grade Science

The seventh grade science course is concerned with two main areas of student growth, developing self-reliance and organization and advancing the students’ intellectual abilities. Each student is required to keep an organized science notebook to help students learn self-management.

The seventh grade science curriculum is made up of a semester of earth science and a semester of physical science. Topics that are covered are astronomy, meteorology, rocks and minerals, earthquakes, volcanoes, earth’s geologic history, water, basic chemistry of matter, electrical circuits, magnetism, electro-magnetism, heat, light, sound, and nuclear power.
