The Ingersoll Middle School Student Council consists of elected representatives from each team of students at each grade level. To be elected, students must properly complete and submit a petition by the specified deadline. Students must also have a minimum grade point average of 2.0 with no grade below a “C” to be elected and to retain membership on the council. Elections are held for both grade level representatives and for the council’s executive board.

The Student Council participates in a variety of activities. It plans activities for the student body, participates in leadership activities, conducts council meetings, performs fundraising activities, engages in community service projects, and supports the school and entire Ingersoll community.

The Student Council meets after school on Fridays. The Student Council Executive Board meets before school on the first Wednesday of each month. The majority of work is done in committees which meet both before and after school at various times throughout the week.
