Lincoln School is located in Canton, Illinois, on North Main Street (Rt. 78). It houses grades K- 4
plus four Special Education classes. Our student population stays around 240.
Our school has a very active parent group called Lincoln School Supporters. Many computer programs, a pavilion, a butterfly garden, a beautiful bird aviary, new playground equipment, and lots of classroom supplies have been provided by the LSS.

We are part of a school district with two other elementary schools, Eastview and Westview. Our district also includes Ingersoll Middle School and Canton High School. Canton Union School District #66 has 369 district employees; 212 certified and 157 non certified staff.
Lincoln is the smallest and oldest school in the district (built in 1967), but we don't let our size and age get in the way of our technology. Each classroom is equipped with a device and charging station for each student. Second, third, and fourth graders have Chromebooks; Kindergarten and first graders have iPads. Our computers are wireless and have internet access. Each classroom is also equipped with either a Smart Board or large TV screen to project learning resources on and use as a hands-on learning tool. Classrooms have 3D printers, access to a large variety of STEM resources, LEGO Ed materials, and document cameras.

Lincoln School has been a PBIS school since 2001. PBIS stands for Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports. It is a proactive, evidence-based educational framework used by schools to promote positive student behavior, improve school safety, and create a supportive learning environment. Instead of relying solely on punishment, PBIS focuses on teaching students expected behaviors and rewarding them for making positive choices.
